I grew up on a small farm in a large family. There I learned to work hard and appreciate the gifts and lessons that nature provided. The ebb and flow of life was demonstrated poignantly in the wisdom of plants, animals and also beloved relatives.

These lessons followed me into adulthood, where I became a nurse and found an affinity for end-of-life care. I have been at the bedside of hundreds of individuals with their loved ones as they reach the end of what this life offers. Each death is unique; beauty and meaning can be found by appreciation of the precious attributes that make a life special.

As an end-of-life doula, I offer to share the space in those often difficult realities we face at the end of life. I want to be a gentle voice to remind those of their gifts and lessons they have brought to this life that will last far beyond their living breathing days.
